Schools cooperating with the Bagamoyo Sculpture School

In 1998 - 2000 the school has had an exchange program with Gotlands Konstskola

This exchange was under the auspices of Forum Syd. Because financing rules have been changed at present there are no plans for a continuation.

An exchange with an art school in Zimbabwe, which specializes in stone sculptures, has been realized. Two or three exchanges have been completed, with assistance from Forum Syd.

For 2001-2002 the school cooperated with the Royal Institute of Arts (Konsthögskolan) under the Linneus-Palme program for exchange between universities from developed and developing countries. Exchange of students is starting in januari 2001, with 2 Swedish students staying at Bagamoyo for a term. In return two 2 students from Bagamoyo study at Konsthögskolan for one term, and an assistant teacher will visit for 6 weeks.
